• Account Information: When you register on sndev, we collect your email address, chosen username, and password (which is hashed and encrypted).
• Developer Profile Information: You may optionally provide your full name, developer bio, job title, social links (GitHub, LinkedIn, Portfolio), and technical stack keywords.
• User Content & Engagement: Developer insights, code snippets, project comments, upvotes you submit on the platform.
• Security & Activity Logs: For platform defense and audit trails, our logging engine automatically records your IP address, browser user-agent, and access timestamps during sign-ins or failed login attempts. We never store passwords or secrets in these logs.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information strictly for the following purposes:

• To provide, authenticate, and maintain your user account on sndev.
• To publish your Developer Insights and public developer profile at /profile/@username.
• To detect and prevent malicious abuse, spam, brute-force attacks, and unauthorized access to administrative controls.
• To send essential transactional notifications (such as password reset requests).

3. Data Storage & Third-Party Service Providers

We do not sell your data. To operate and secure our services, we may share information with trusted third-party service providers who assist us with:

• Cloud Infrastructure & Hosting: Secure database and server infrastructure to store account records and developer content.
• Authentication & Security: Identity verification, brute-force protection, and rate limiting to prevent unauthorized access.
• Communications: Transactional email delivery (such as password resets and account alerts).

All service providers are bound by strict confidentiality and data protection obligations consistent with this Privacy Policy and applicable data protection regulations.

4. Data Security & Encryption

We implement industry-standard technical measures to keep your data safe and localized:

• Domestic Storage: All user personal data and developer profiles reside in domestic secure server infrastructure.
• All web traffic is strictly encrypted in transit via Transport Layer Security (TLS/HTTPS).
• Passwords are cryptographically salted and hashed. We cannot view or recover your raw password.
• Database access enforces strict row-level security controls ensuring users can only modify their own profile and content.

5. Cookies & Local Storage

sndev uses strictly necessary cookies and browser local storage for essential functionalities:

• Authentication Cookies: Secure, encrypted session tokens to keep you safely logged in.
• Local Storage Preferences: Remembering your theme preference (Light or Dark mode).
• We do not load third-party ad tracking pixels or sell behavioural browsing profiles.

6. Your Rights & Account Deletion

Regardless of your geographic location (under GDPR, India's DPDP Act, or CCPA), you have full control over your data:

• Access & Edit: You can modify your public profile, bio, and tech stack anytime in your account settings.
• Content Removal: You can delete any Developer Insight or comment you published directly from the interface.
• Complete Account Deletion: If you wish to permanently delete your account, authentication records, and associated data, you can email us at sndev2024@gmail.com and we will purge your data within 14 days.

7. Beta Testing Phase Notice

sndev is currently in public Beta testing. During this period, platform features, databases, and UI components may be optimized, tested, or modified. We recommend not storing confidential proprietary enterprise source code in public insights.
